    Do Email Newsletters really work?
Meaning, do they actually pay off? With the cost per month and the work put into it? Anybody had any success? My website is a mom's website (happysahm.com) and I'm just looking for more ways to keep my visitors coming back. I'm afraid to invest in that and it not pay off. What has your luck been?

To keep traffic coming to your site you need to change the content on a regular basis. You need to add columns with more interesting items. More and more moms will visit if they can trust you to have up-to-date information. There is a lot of competition out in this area, you are against baby.com, Parents.com, child.com and so many more. Your site is nice, but it has little on the wow factor.

You do not have to have a newsletter to keep people coming, you can also not invest in a company to get hits. Do it yourself. Put the news letter on its own page, use Paypal for a subscription and you have people paying you for your information. Then you send out an email with a notice to come read your newsletter or subscribe to your newsletter.
It's all very easy to do on your own. =o)

    Good Luck!

Yes they do as long as they are not spam. Of course, to get people to sign up for your newsletter, you need to offer an opt in list on your web site so people can elect to receive the email. That then means the site needs to be designed and optimized so that it can be found. I found the best email campaign software is constantcontact. located at http://search.constantcontact.com/ This is very affordable, has great professional templates and very easy to use
